Gloss

Welcome to Gloss Arts Education Agency, we are part of the South West Arts Partnership. Gloss Arts Education Agency is an Arts Council and Gloucestershire County Council funded initiative offering information, advice, guidance and brokerage between the arts and the education sector. We work across the county of Gloucestershire and in partnership with our 8 other Arts Education Partnerships across the whole of the South West.

Our website contains information for artists, teachers, education officers and all those involved in programming and commissioning creative activities for children and young people.

You should find all the help you need on the following pages but feel free to give us a ring or email us if you need further assistance, we are more than happy to help.

Five reasons to choose Gloss:

  • FREE !! Our database of artists is free to use and free to register. We also offer free help contracting artists, general advice on arts education and project ideas. For some things we do charge, such as direct delivery of artist projects,  some training and INSET.
  • Support  in gaining Artsmark at your school.
  • Information on Arts Award, including training for those wishing to deliver Arts Award.
  • We have stringent quality assurance including Child Protection Policies and procedures and through our database we can put you in contact with CRB checked artists, all of whom come with references which can be checked on line within the 'find an artist' pages.
  • Training for artists, job and funding opportunites, tailored programmes delivering on issues of anti bullying, teen pregnancy reduction, Building Schools for the Future, Early Years and much more...

One more reason..... thinking of commissioning services?

  • Gloss represents many of the arts and cultural education providers across Gloucestershire and can help shape a creative response working with a number of creative providers all working to deliver one aim. As South West Arts Partnership we have delivered a number of projects across the South West region, working with children and young people on anti bullying projects, early years, teen pregnancy, and those at risk of exclusion. In Gloucestershire through partnership working with Sarah Everitt ,we have developed particular skills in consulting and working with children and young people with disabilties in an inclusive way, from consultation to project delivery, we work in partnership to deliver programmes of activity across the county either as the lead agency or in support.

We want to be transparent within everything we do so if something is not clear, you have difficulty accessing information or can't find a policy document then give us a call…
