We require all artists to have an Enhanced Disclosure from the CRB on the date that they join the database. In some cases, we have processed the disclosure ourselves. Where an artist’s disclosure has been processed by another registered body, we have made every effort to check the disclosure information. In these cases, at the very least we have checked with the registered body the artist's disclosure certificate number.
However, these checks do not relieve teachers of their child protection responsibilities and their duty of care towards their students. If you choose to employ an artist from our database, it is your responsibility as an employer to make adequate checks before employing that artist and to implement a proper child protection policy.
Unauthorised copying of any material (including artwork) on this site and the reproduction, storage, transmission or the distribution of any content, either in whole or in part and in any medium or format, without the prior written consent of Creative Learning Agency and, where appropriate, the author or artist, is not permitted.
